Apple’s iPhone 5 To Sport A5 Processor, 4-inch Display ?

Ohh Yeah! Apple iPhone rumors are heating up with iPhone Nano (Smaller + Cheaper, Edge to edge Screen + Voice Navigation,  No Memory & Cloud Based iOS), then iPhone 5 with Slideout Keyboard and now, iPhone 5 with 4-inch Display and A5 Processor.

A new report from DigiTimes suggest that, Apple’s fifth-generation iPhone [iPhone 5], which is due in June, will be featuring a 4-in display to go head-to-head with high end Android device with large displays. It looks like this information is said to come directly from Apple component suppliers.

The component suppliers noted that the production lines for Apple’s next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple is interesting in expanding the screen size to 4-inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in the market.

In an other report DigiTimes suggests that, Apple is planning to launch iPad 2 with an enhanced version of the A4 processor, which has been outsourced the production to Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) along with ARM Cortex-A9-based A5 processor which is for Apple iPhone 5.

According to Digitimes Research, the iPad 2 will support an enhanced version of the A4 and the A5 will power the iPhone 5. TSMC will initially produce the improved A4, and could likely become the exclusive manufacturer of the A5.

DigiTimes also informed that, With Samsung now competing directly with Apple with its own smartphones and tablet PC, Apple is reportedly concerned about leakage of its processor technology to a major rival in the end-use market and the could be the main reason for Apple to outsource its very own processor to TSMC.
