GMail is getting more and more powerful day by day. If you have a GMail account, you can Voice & Video Chat with your friends right from your GMail Account using your computer’s microphone, speakers and a webcam. 200,000 Android Devices Avtivated Everyday – Says Google CEO

We all know how aggressively Android is growing. Looking at its pace, we can easily see Android OS capturing number one spot in United States by the end of 2012.
Today, Eric Schmidt, CEO, Google Inc, at the Techonomy Conference announced that 200,000 Android phones are being activated each day (1 Million Activations in every 5 days). Android 3.0 & Windows Phone 7 Smartphone to compete neck to neck in 4Q10

Before the official launch of FroYo aka Android OS 2.2, we heard that Google has been working silently on Android OS 3.0 codename GingerBread and planning to get it ready by the 4th quarter of 2010, holiday time. Google received its last shipment of Nexus One

Google Android’s growth gains and rest got a red ink

When we talk about top smart-phone operating systems in US market, we think of RIM, iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile (Windows Phone 7) and Palm. When we look at Google’s Android OS growth rate we can easily come to a conclusion that within a year or two, it may take the big piece of the smart-phone os market share.

Android 3.0 (GingerBread) to be out by Q4 2010

While we are busy looking for Google to unveil its Android OS 2.2 at its Google I/O 2010 conference, plans are already well underway for a launch of Android OS 3.0. As I mentioned in my previous post, Google has been working silently on Android OS 3.0 codename GingerBread. But, we weren’t sure that, Google is planning to get it ready by the 4th quarter of 2010.

Android and iPhone are the winner in the first quarter of 2010

Yet again, Google‘s Android OS and Apple‘s iPhone OS are the winner. According to Gartner, Both Android and iPhone OS were the only two OS’s vendors among the top five to increase market share year-on-year.
