Google CEO Eric Schmidt at Mobile World Congress 2010, Barcelona was very exited to announce the accelerating growth of Android based devices. The search giant mentioned that, phone manufactures who loaded Android OS on phones shipping more than 60,000 phone a day.
We are now shipping more than 60,000 Android devices in the Android industry per day and that number has doubled over the last quarter.
The growth rate is accelerating and we hope the growth rate, as well as the demand, will continue for a very long time
In our recent post we have learned that Google’s Android OS is growing big time. In 2009 Google Android OS growth percent was 1073% when compare to last year. According to Canalys Google Android OS captured 4.7% worldwide market share. Predictions are, In few years Google Android OS will capture a significant percent and will take number one spot (if not number two) in worldwide market share.
