Update (05/28/2010) - Wi-Fi Sync is now compatible with Windows
Update(05/15/2010) – You can now, Sync your iPad Wirelessly.
Remember, back in April we have shared a demo video of Wi-Fi Sync, which will wirelessly Sync your contacts, music, photos, mail, movies etc.. with iTunes– of-course you need to be in the network. If you haven’t watched the video, watch it after the cut.
The developer Greg Hughes have submitted his app to the AppStore for approval. Unfortunately, Apple have rejected this app for unknown reason. As we have mentioned, in our previous post that even if AppStore rejects it, Cydia will be more than happy to welcome this App into its CydiaStore.
So, the developer have made it available for us in CydiaStore for only $9.99. Though, some of you may think the price is too high but, let me say this “This App is worth the money“.
- WiFi Sync enables seamless wireless syncing with iTunes, as seen on YouTube and tech blogs across the web.
- Run the app on your phone, and it will apper in iTunes’ list of connected devices. From there you can sync music, apps, photos, contacts and everything else just as if it were plugged in via USB
- The app is currently compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6, and a Windows version will be available shortly. Download the free Mac software (required) from getwifisync.com”
Note: The app is not supported on the iPad
Important: To get this app, you would need to jailbreak you iPhone / iPodTouch. Follow the below tutorials to get your iPhone / iPodTouch Jailbroken.
