Wow!! That sounds very interesting. The Next Gen iPhone may get inspired with its new Magic Mouse and may have touch sensitive casing in addition to the traditional touchscreen.
Robert Chen an analyst at Goldman Sachs Said “Next Gen iPhone may feature a touch-sensitive casing which will be replicated from its Magic Mouse, to offer touch-sensitive features on the rear of the handset. And Apple’s going to put a lot of innovation, not just on the hardware, but also on the software of the new iPhone ”
Robert Chen didn’t specify on how the touch-sensitivity might be utilized but we can think of few ways..
- You could use your index finger to scroll up and down or flip pages (right or left) from the rear side.
- You could use your iPhone rear side as a Magic Mouse – May be by installing a app.
- You could increase the volume when your are on a call from the rear side using your index finger
- Developer can create more creative games by adding few more controls on the rear side
- For front facing camera rumor – You could use your rear side of the phone to “Tap TO Snap”
We can add lot more to this list but, how many people cover there iPhone with a case (I mean to protect there iPhone from breakage) ? Yeah! The percent will be very high.. So, How does this touch-sensitive casing work in that case? If this rumor is legit, I am sure that current case makers will be very upset.
Having a Touch-Sensitive Casing for your iPhone is it GOOD or BAD?
