Step 1: Created a folder name WP7 on the C:\ drive
Step 2: Download the following files, extract and save them in the above created folder.
- Microsoft XDE V1.zip (32 Bit) / Microsoft XDE V264.zip (64 Bit) (Less than 2 MB)
- Windows Phone 7 Build 6176 (Around 74 MB) – Unlocked Version
Step 3: Now, click Start
Step 4: In the Search for Program files type cmd. When you see cmd in the list, right click and select “run as administrator”
Step 5: Here you will see Administrator: Command Prompt
Step 6: At the prompt type the following “cd \” and hit enter
Step 7: Now type cd WP7 and hit enter
Step 8: Type the following command and let it install
- Windows 32 Bit Users – msiexec /i sde_xde-enu and hit enter
- Windows 64 Bit Users – msiexec /i sde_xde64-enu and hit enter
Step 9: Now, navigate to this folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft XDE\1.0 or C:\Program Files\Microsoft XDE\1.0
Step 10: Move/Copy the downloaded bin (wm70C1AprilUnlockedv2.bin) from C:\WP7 to C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft XDE\1.0 or C:\Program Files\Microsoft XDE\1.0
Step 11: Once that is moved/copied, right click on XDE.exe and send a shortcut to the desktop.
Step 12: Close all the open windows. And on the desktop – Right click on XDE.exe Shortcut and select properties.
Step 13: Here in the target field, leave everything as it is and add wm70C1AprilUnlockedv2.bin at the end.
