How to run Ubuntu on HTC’s Touch Pro2 (Video)

Previously it was Mac OS X on a Nokia and now, its Ubuntu on a HTC Touch Pro2. sebbo90 a member of XDA Developers who made this possible. Look at the video you will know how smooth Ubuntu is running but, there plenty of things which are not functioning. Like – Wi-Fi, Keyboard – At least on rhoduim100uk the fn foesn’t work so you cant get “/” and “_” etc in the terminal, Sound, Power Management and many more.

So, if you are a person who like to tweak your phone, here is a step by step process to get Ubuntu running on your HTC Touch Pro2.

Step 1: Download Ubuntu.zip (If you feel that this Ubuntu.zip is not stable then download this – Ubuntu.zip)

Step 2: Extract the ZIP file into the ROOT of the SD Card

Step 3: Run haret.exe – So, when you run haret.exe your path should be SDcard/ubuntu/haret.exe

There you have it! Enjoy your HTC Touch Pro2 running Ubuntu
