Yeah! You heard that right.Just a little ago, MuscleNerd, a core member of the iPhone Dev Team confirmed that they are working on a ‘Very Promising’ iPhone 4S unlock. Few hours ago, MuscleNerd tweeted that, they have discovered a promising way to unlock iPhone 4S – newer baseband.
MuscleNerd also mentioned that, this vulnerability/exploit is strictly for iPhone 4S. In other words, all newer basebands in iPhone 3GS & iPhone 4, will have depend on GeveySIM or current version of UltraSn0w.

If all goes well, we can expect to see The iPhone Dev Team release an updated version of UltraSn0w, that supports newer basedbands on iPhone 4S. With that said, to apply this updated version of UltraSn0w, we must have a jailbreak for iPhone 4S – Possible Untethered Jailbreak [The Chronic Dev-Team], which is also under work.
