How to Unlock iPhone 3G & 3G S OS 3.1.2

You might be very excited to read this blog, because you are about to unlock your iPhone 3G(s). But, before you unlock your you must have Jailbreaked your iPhone 3G(s).

If you haven’t jailbreaked your iPhone 3G(s) please follow our blog here “How to Jailbreak iPhone 3G OS 3.1.2 on Mac”.

Once we are done with Jailbreak here is how we are going to Unlock your iPhone 3G(s) using UltraSn0w. With this soft unlock you will be able to use your iPhone 3G(s) with any third party SIM (GSM Technology).

Requirements :

Jailbreaked iPhone 3G(s)
Wi-Fi/Edge/3G

There are two part to Unlock iPhone 3G(s)

Part One – First we need to Jailbreak iPhone 3G OS 3.1.2 - (This part should be done by now)
Part Two – Second we need to Unlock iPhone 3G OS 3.1.2 using UltraSn0w

Part Two: (Unlock)
Step 1: Take your iPhone 3G(s) and tap on “Cydia” icon

Step 2: Let it load and tap on “Manage”. Which is located at the bottom of your screen.

Step 3: Here your will see three section (Manage, Sources and Storage). Tap on “Sources”.

Step 4: Once your are on Sources screen. Tap on “Edit”, which is located on the top right corner.

Step 5: Now Tap on “Add”.

You will see a window like this.

Step 6: Now, in the URL field add this after http:// “repo666.ultrasn0w.com/” (Note: in ultrasn0w, type Zero not o). The URL should look like this “http://repo.ultrasn0w.com/”.
Step 7: Once done typing, tap on “AddSource” button.
Step 8: Once the source has been added tap on the large “Return to Cydia” button.
Step 9: Now, Tap on the “repo666.ultrasn0w.com”. Which will bring to this screen.

Step 10: Tap on “ultrasn0w” and tap on “Install” which is located on the top right corner.

Step 11: Now, Tap on “Confirm” which is located on the top right corner.
Step 12: This will start downloading and once its done downloading it will start installing/injecting in to your iPhone 3G.
Step 13: Once that is done, tap on “Return to Cydia” which is at the bottom of your screen.
Step 14: Exit out of Cydia by pressing the “Home” button.
Step 15: Now, Restart your iPhone 3G(s) . This can be done by, pressing and holding both Power button and Home button for few seconds.
Step 16: Now, you should be able to insert your third party SIM and it should work like a charm.
