I guess you want to use your friends iPhone with your SIM right? Okay – You could put your friends SIM and then follow the Jailbreaking steps. It should take care of it. It doen't matter. Let me know if you face any challenges.

I just got an iphone from a friend who had a connection. He has taken out the sim card. Now when I connect the iphone to iTunes it is asking me to put the SIM with PIN (I can paste the screenshot if required). It's kind of in a locked state (shows lock symbol at the top of the screen also). What should be my process of breaking the phone as I am not able to restore as iTunes is also throwing error.
