Here come an awesome app for your iPhone. Yesterday, Nuance Communications announced the release of Dragon Dictation (Free for a limited time), a new voice transcription application for the iPhone. The application, which relies on the Dragon NaturallySpeaking speech recognition engine to transcribe voice input to text, allows users to easily send transcribed text to new e-mail or text messages or save it to the clipboard for pasting into other applications.
You could download this App directly into your iTunes from this link
Dragon Dictation Features:
- Voice-to-text transcriptions that may be set as SMS, Email, or posted into any application on your iPhone using the clipdoard
- Convenient editing feature that provides a list of suggested words
- Voice driven correction interface.
With Dragon Dictation you can also update your Facebook status, send notes and reminders to yourself, or Tweet to the world…. all using your voice. So, when you are on-the-go, stop typing and start speaking – from short text message to longer email message, and anything in between.
In the near future Nuance will be releasing Dragon Search, a second iPhone application allowing users to conduct voice searches of a number of sources including search engines, YouTube, Twitter, iTunes, and Wikipedia. – Just like Google Voice Search.
I personal tested it – On Wi-Fi the server returned the text with in a second and on my 3G it took about 4 seconds for the same TEXT – which is “Convert your speech to text with Dragon Dictation”
