Try to jailbreak it first. One of my iPhone 2G unlocked automatically just after I jailbroken it. Try it and let me know.

Great!. I am glad to hear.. Regarding "No Service" - Reboot your iPhone (It should take care of it). If not, please go to Settings>General>About and tell me whats the Modem Firmware-If its 05.11.07 then you need to wait for couple more days to get it unlocked. jailbreak went great,unlock seems to have worked but I insert the simcard it searched for about 3minutes and then says no service. Did I do something wrong? im os 3.1.2 iphone 3G
