Snow Leopard on PC with Rebel EFI

Here is some GREAT news for all Hackintosh Lovers like me. Rebel EFI is released! You can install any OS on PC including Snow Leopard the worlds most advanced OS. One of the advantage of Rebel EFI is – Lets say, you installed a Retail copy of Snow Leopard, you are good to go with instaling all the update from Apple directly.

So, with out wasting any time, I would like to start on How to Install Snow Leopard using Rebel EFI

PROS & CONS

Free Method (Boot-132 + Chameleon + following guide)

Pros

  • Works on every single hardware on planet earth (i.e even with legacy Pentium 4 and AMD with SSE2)
  • Allows you to have more control over your hardware as in selection of kext and tuning it right to work it properly (DSDT)
  • Its free (as in free beer) plus you’ll just have to pay $29 for genuine Snow Leopard installation disc

Cons

  • Its not for everyone
  • Requires extensive reading , searching and not to mention  basic understanding of UNIX and such (which could be useful in just about anything)

Paid Method (Rebel EFI)

Pros

Can’t think of any. Seriously. If you think that it saves time , etc. Yeah sure but those aren’t real pros

Cons

  • $50 for a software whereby you could do it for free

--We do have a process where you can unlock an iPhone with out WiFi using blacksn0w. Here are the instructions - http://www.machackpc.com/iphone/3g/unlock-your-...
As you have a Jailbreaked iPhone using custom firmare you could TRY the above and see how it reacts. If that doesn't work I would recommend you to try Jailbreaking again using blackra1n and then unlock it using blacksn0w. Here are the instructions. - http://www.machackpc.com/iphone/3g/jailbreak-un...

    • Well, most of the PC's doesn't support booting from USB or EHD. If your PC Hardware and BIOS support booting from USB or EDH then you are good to GO.

    • Well, it does. But if you are planning to install Snow Leopard it will not work for you. Because, Snow Leopard doesn't support Pentium.
