7 February 2010 Comments

You are are an American ? Then you know all about Super Bowl. If you are not an American and not aware of Super Bowl – The Super Bowl has been the championship game of the National Football League, the premier association of professional American football, since 1967. Super Bowl is the most-watched American television broadcast. Many popular singers and musicians perform during the event’s pre-game and halftime ceremonies. The day on which the Super Bowl is played is now considered a de facto American national holiday, called Super Bowl Sunday. Super Bowl Sunday is the second-largest day for U.S. food consumption, after Thanksgiving Day.

That said, We can predict more than 90 million people will sit in front of there televisions to watch Super Bowl today. One of the biggest thing to watch Super Bowl (a part from the game) is to watch Super Bowl Ads. The Super Bowl ads always gain attention, and this year is no exception. Prices have increased each year, with advertisers paying as much as $3 million for a 30-second ad. But, this year we have been hearing that it has been dropped to $2.8 million for the same 30-second ad spot.

One of the famous Super Bowl ad is Budweiser “Bud Bowl”. And followed later, in the year 1984 Apple commercial introduced Macintosh and now, its seems like Google is spending few more dollar on a Super Bowl Ad. The reason for our speculation is, few hours ago we received this tweet from Eric Schmidt.

Nexus One Ad

This coming from the CEO of Google, What else it could be? Will it be a Google’s Search Story Ad or Nexus One’s Ad. We just have to wait and see. But, the interesting thing is, Google doesn’t appear on the official list of Super Bowl advertisers.

On the other hand: We have mentioned in our previous post that, because of its lack of advertising Google could only sell 80,000 Nexus One units in its first month. If our prediction are real, we can see Google Nexus One sale will definitely increase with a significant count.
