One more Apple’s tablet rumor – May be, it will be a iTablet/iSlate

Well, we all know about iPad and to get one you need to wait for 54 days. We have been hearing mixed comments on iPad. Personally, iPad din’t impress me. If, iPad was launched before iPhone I would have been thrilled with iPad & iPhone. Becuase, in this case, iPhone will be the smaller version of iPad with phone functionality released after iPad. I bet many of you will be thrilled with this.

Anyway, lets get back to iPad. I guess, most of us din’t like the name iPad. Honestly I didn’t! I rather call it iTablet or iSlate. But, after I heard this rumor that Apple has put plenty of time working on a tablet which is larger in size, more powerful than iPad and most importantly it will be running Mac OS X, then i felt iPad was the right name for iPad tablet. Becuase, iPad is just a XL size of iPodTouch and iPhone -with out the phone functionality. With that said, this rumored tablet may be called a iTablet or iSlate.

Now, before I say anything else, take this information with a grain of salt. While it originated from a good source, it was a second-hand source. Meanwhile, I’ve corroborated some the main details with another source, but not some of the smaller ones. That said, from what I’m hearing, Apple is pretty far along on work on second tablet device. A bigger one. And this one may be much more like a Mac than an iPhone.

If this is legit, we can expect to hear some news on this powerful version of tablet in Apple’s WWDC event, which will likely take place in June. What can we expect to see in this version of tablet?

It will be called a iTablet or iSlate
Will be running Mac OS X (10.7)or a lite version of Mac OS X
13” to 15” screen
Much more powerful processor than iPad’s A4 – May be a Intel Chip
Weight – 2.3 to 2.5 pounds
Thin – 0.8 inc
Build-in Camera
USB Port(s)
Touch screen – (with out that you can even call it a tablet)
Unibody
CD/DVD drive (may be / may not be)
Of-course long lasting battery life
Wi-Fi & Bluetooth

and few other..

Looking at these specs, we can be sure that it will cost us way more than the iPad. If this is the killer tablet and if it really was meant to be a laptop-replacement anything around $1000 will be a reasonable price for this tablet. What do you think?
