Want to secure your Windows Mobile Phone lock-screen in a different way? Well, How about Fingerprint lock-screen (sort of) ? One of the XDA Developer named cyclonezephyrxz7 have put lot of effort in making a FingerPrint application with which you can secure your Windows Mobile Phone.
The logic behind the real FingerPrint - It would scan your Finger when you touch the lock-screen and will compare it with the recorded fingerprint, once it matches with the recorded finger print, the device will be unlocked. Obviously, this process would require some significant technological advancement in current mobile phone devices, so instead the device will unlock depending on how many “counts” you hold your finger down on the screen.
Currently the count is set to 6 and in future version cyclonezephyrxz7 have promised to implement customizations so that you can set your own count. This FingerPrint app was developed for QVGA resolutions devices and works fine. But, few member of XDA Developers have reported that it does work on WVGA devices, although the graphics come up a little small.
If you want to test this app and give the developer your feed, please do so. Follow the below instruction to get this app on your device. (We along with the developer will not responsible for any damage or breakage of your device.)
Step 1: Download FingerPrint App
Step 2: Move the cab file on to your device using Active Sync
Step 3: Tap on the Cab file to install it.
There you have it. Enjoy the new way to unlock your device.
